Campbell’s “Pop & Pull” Can Opener

The Facts:

The Campbell’s soup company has come up with an even easier way to open soup cans. Besides the option of using a regular can opener versus the pull tab option, Campbell’s introduces another method that is available. Well, another method not exactly! Campbell’s has come up with a device/gadget to make the pull tab method even easier. This neat little gadget is called the “pop & pull” can opener.

How it Works:

You might be asking yourself… are we that lazy to have a device to help us with a method that was supposed to make it easier in the first place??? Let me explain and you be the judge. As we all know the pull tab method is at times tricky, especially for those who have fine motor challenges and those who have arthritis. The “pop & pull” can opener eliminates this problem. Imagine a 4 inch long fat handle for easy grip with a dip contour that stretches out 2 inches. The tip of the contour is shaped to resemble pliers.  Beneath the dip is a flat circular shape with a magnet which is designed to be positioned in the middle of the cans top. Using a scoop up method the gadgets tip which resembles pliers hooks under the tab. This allows the tab to be pulled further up allowing the flat magnet bottom to be positioned in the middle of the can. Once you have this position, simply pull again peeling the lid off. After getting the hang of it, it will become one fluid motion.

Recommendation:

At first glance one may be fooled by the simplicity of it but I assure you it is that simple. Besides its peculiar design it is easy and fun to use. For those who have challenges with the pull tab or simple don’t want to break a nail, Campbell’s “pop & pull” can opener is an easy solution. I highly recommend it.
